How to get started on the Bake-ulator App
First things first…
Before you start using the app, what you are going to need to do is to make sure all of your costs and ingredients and your profile are set up.
Your profile is going to include your business name, VAT number, address of business etc.

The Ingredient section includes all of the ingredients used in our staple recipes. What you will need to do in order to ensure your quotes are calculated accurately is to add Costs to each of the ingredients.

As these ingredients come with the app you can’t remove them but if you have a subscription you can edit our recipes. Be sure to call it something unique to avoid confusion e.g. My carrot cake.

Then, you are able to go into the costs section. Within this section, your overheads are broken down. You are able to decide your profit margin within this section and determine the currency as well as adding your overhead amounts. The currency is currently only USD, GBP and EUR, but the app still functions with any currency.
In order to access all of the functionality, you need to be subscribed! This will enable you to add your own recipes and edit the existing recipes!

Without the subscription, you will only be able to use the staple recipes.
Starting a new quote…
Press the plus button in the top right corner to start a new quotation.
You can name this whatever you wish. (See right image)
Throughout this section you are prompted to note down information from the due date for the order, to the details of the order using a range of options within the app.
Once you have filled out all of the sections you have been prompted to fill it will produce a cost using the information you filled out in the settings at the start.
Share the quote!
Now save the quotation and it’s ready to share with your customer!
A range of options will come up from editing the quotation, share quote, noting that the quote has been accepted and adding to your own calendar.
To share the quote with your customer, click on share quote and a range of options will appear from WhatsApp, email, Facebook and a variety of other messaging applications. Choose the one you wish and by a click of a button your customer will receive their quotation with the reassurance that your costs are covered and your profit will be made!
Adding your own recipe to the app!
You will need to go to the ‘my recipe’ tab at the bottom of the screen.
By pressing the plus button, this will prompt you to add further details. Here you are able to name the recipe you would like to add, choose the recipe type as well as the size and shape of the cake it will be used for.
Towards the bottom of the page you can add the required ingredients for the recipe. Here you add the name of the ingredient, unit and the quantity required for that recipe.
